Berdoll Pecan Candy & Gift Company is a unique store off of Highway 71. What catches everyone’s eye first is the big squirrel out front named, “Ms. Pearl.” I have even seen some of my Canadian friends post things on Facebook regarding this squirrel, so it’s well-known near and far.
There is a big sign that you can see a way’s away, so you definitely know when you’re coming up to the place.
We pulled in and stopped to check it out.
The store has closing hours, but if you need a pecan fix, they have a 24 hour vending machine.
We did a little more walking until we reached Ms. Pearl.
I took a few more pictures of Ms. Pearl.
After that, it was time to go inside and check out what they had. There was a huge selection of anything pecan-related and a lot of Texas stuff.
We ended up getting some fudge (which I forgot to take a picture of). It was good and if I’m in the area, I may have to stop at this place again, as they have a ton of local products that I like to try.
