If you want to visit a quirky Austin institution that serves good pizza, Conans is the place to visit. It has been around for several decades and has its own unique style. When you first pull up, you wouldn’t think this was anything more than a generic pizza place. The outside is very unassuming.
When you get on the inside, you will find it looks very different than other pizza places. While it does have some of the standard things like beer signs and arcade games, the booths are very unique.
Victoria and I walked up to the counter and decided to get their lunch special.
The table had all the condiments you’d expect at a pizza joint.
Victoria and I both got the two slice lunch special. She stuck with pepperoni.
I was a little more adventurous with Canadian Bacon and Pineapple. I also had a supreme pizza.
Unless the printer provided wifi, there wasn’t any wifi there.
Conans pizza was good and I can see why they have been around as long as they have. Their lunch specials are reasonably priced and it’s just enough food to hit the spot. I have a feeling if I’m craving some Chicago-style pizza again, I’ll be back!
