Day Trip to Richmond

We have been having some connection issues in Richmond, so I needed to go on site sooner than later. Because of this short notice, I found out the company car was only available for one day that week and I would have to hand it in right away and not spend the night. Since Richmond is only two and a half hours away, I decided I could make a day trip out of it. It would be a long day, but I should be able to get everything done in a day.

I hit the road and made it to Richmond around 1:30. It was definitely a hot (for March) and sunny day.

I ended up having to wait for Comcast to replace an old modem. I also replaced the router there. There were a few hiccups along the way, but we were able to get them sorted out. I left as the sun was starting to set. The funny thing is the parking lot was packed when I came to the office, but completely empty when I left. It had also cooled down a few degrees.

I got to watch the sunset as I drove back to Austin. It was definitely very scenic.

When everything was said and done, I had put in a 15 hour day. It was a long day, but I was definitely happy to get things fixed in a day trip.
