DeBot Colon Blow

For never going to UWSP, I’ve ate at their dining hall, DeBot (da-bow), a lot. Most of the time it was Jake and I were hung over from partying the night before. Since he had a Pointer Card, was going to school there, and lived near campus, this was the easiest place to grab breakfast. I was told everyone called it, “DeBot Colon Blow” due to what the food did to you.

Jake and I planned to go to Madison, and since he had to be back by the early afternoon to coach Cross Country, we hit the road early in the morning. He asked me if I had breakfast and I told him I didn’t. Then he asked if I wanted to go to DeBot since we were meeting in Stevens Point. I was up for eating there for old time’s sake, so we parked the cars and walked to the campus.

We walked in and Jake swiped his card for both of us.

It is a big cafeteria setup like an all-you-can-eat buffet.

I went straight over to the eggs.

I got some eggs, ham, potatoes, cottage cheese, and a big glass of milk. It was basically like a La Quinta breakfast plus the milk.

I was tempted to get some ice cream, but decided against it since I was already pretty full.

This was the first time I ate at DeBot in a while and it did bring back some memories. This time I wasn’t hung over so that was definitely a plus. The food settled well with me and I didn’t experience the colon blow part. It was a good breakfast for our road trip to Madison.
