Pedernales Falls State Park, Johnson City, TX

Pedernales Falls State Park is a Texas state park near Johnson City. It encompasses the beauty of the Texas Hill County. The roads leading up to the park are windy and green. There are many scenic outlooks to take in the nature.

The Pedernales River flows through the park. It flows over huge slabs of limestone through the hilly terrain. When I visited, it was relatively calm, but if a good rain storm comes, it can become raging.

The park itself is very peaceful to visit. Victoria and I checked the park out and hiked as much as we could in the 100F (38C) heat. The following are a bunch of pictures I took of the park. Being that it is close to Austin, I have a feeling I’ll be back soon.
