The Melting Snow and Raging River in Thunder Bay

This time of year the snow starts melting fast fast. It is kind of crazy how much water is just sitting around as the snow banks pile up. When it starts melting, it has to go somewhere. This usually leads to raging rivers. I dropped by Fisherman’s Park in Thunder Bay to see the raging river. I also went up on a bridge to see more of the water coming down to eventually empty into Lake Superior.

I was told the raging river is the highest a lot of people have seen it in years. The crazy thing is it wasn’t much above freezing and there was a lot of melting left to do.. I guess I came at a good time to get some pictures!
