Wednesday Weekly: September 19

The good ole day-to-day routine. That’s pretty much where I’m at now. The past week I’ve been applying for jobs and staying close to home. It’s been raining on and off, so I guess it’s good to stay dry by not going out a ton.

I’ve been eating some of the stuff out of the fridge. Some of this food included a jar of sauerkraut. I made this when Victoria wasn’t in the apartment since she’s not the biggest fan. I know my grandpa would be proud though.

For our Friday lunch date, Victoria and I went to Brick Oven. I chowed down on the lasagna lunch special.

For our Friday night Costco date, I found some pepperettes. I was excited since now I don’t have to go on a quest to Canada to get my pepperette fix.

On Saturday, Victoria and I went to Top Notch Hamburgers. Top Notch is one of my favorite burger joints in Austin. I’m not sure if there was a car show earlier, but there were some cool old VW’s parked outside. They were there the whole time I enjoyed my fish fry.

After eating, we decided to go out to Piranha Records in Round Rock.

The music store was another big excitement of my week. I have wanted to buy a Brownsville Station album for the longest time. Search after search at different record stores, including Piranha, left me empty-handed. This time I finally found it in my treasure hunt!

On Saturday night I listened to the record I bought. I have also been playing around with a lot of free\open source software, so that’s been occupying my time. I won’t bore you with the details, but I’m slowly but surely getting back into the swing of things of daily life in Austin.
